A conversation, not a pitch

Most small business owners do not need a marketing department. They need someone to sit down with them, look at how customers actually find them today, and say in plain words what is worth doing next and what is not.

That is what a consulting session with Jeff is. It is not a sales call for a website or an ad campaign. Some of what comes out of it you can do yourself. Some of it Jeff can do for you, if you want him to. And if part of it is something he does not offer, he will say so and point you somewhere useful.

Sessions happen at the office on West McKnight Drive, at your place of business, or on a call.

What a session covers

Where customers come from

How people find you today, and how they would find you if they went looking on a phone: a referral, a search, a map listing, a sign, a website, an ad. What is working, and what you are not sure about.

What your site and listing are doing

Whether your website and your Google Business Profile say clearly what you do and where, whether the phone number and the form are easy to find, and whether the listings around the web agree with each other.

What to do next

A short list of next steps for your business, in order, with the reasoning. You leave with the list, not a proposal.

How it works

One session, a written list, and a follow-up if you want one.

  1. Before the session

Jeff looks at your website, your Google Business Profile and how you show up in a search, so the time together is spent on your business, not on homework.

  2. The session

An hour or so, in person or on a call. Your questions first. Then a walk through where customers come from and where the gaps are.

  3. The list

A short written list of next steps, in order, with what each one is for. Plain words, no jargon.

  4. Follow-up

If you want help with any of it, Jeff can do the work or point you to someone who does. If you want to do it yourself, the list is yours.

Common questions

Is this a sales call for a website?

No. It is a conversation about your business. If a new site is the right next step, Jeff will say so and why; if it is not, he will say that too.

What does a session cost?

It is talked through on a short call first, so you know what you are getting before you book.

Do we have to meet in person?

No, but you can. Jeff meets clients at the office in Murfreesboro, at their business across Rutherford County, or on a call.

What should I bring?

Whatever you have: your website address, your Google Business Profile, how you get customers now, and the questions that have been bothering you.
